Skye Muay Thai Fundraiser
Inter-Club and 100 rounds pad-work sponsorship

On Saturday the 13th July 2019 Skye Muay Thai hosted there first Inter-club which saw clubs Travel from Stornoway, Inverness and Sheffield to take part in the event.
The Inter-club started at 12pm with each fighter had 2 bouts of controlled sparring each lasting 3 rounds on 1 minute.

Along with the inter-club Skye Muay Thai instructors Ali Simpson, Damon Driver and Arriayn Leighton each completed 100 rounds of 3 minute pad-work sponsorship the rounds was split into 20 after 20 rounds a break was taken in order to refuel and get some rest ready for the next set of 20 rounds this lasted for 8 hours with them starting at around 11am but not getting done till after 7pm. they where still hitting pads long after the Inter-Club had finished and people had gone home. till alone raised £975 in sposorship on there just giving page plus a extra £100 bank transfer on the day.

A raffle was also held to raise money with prizes including.

- 3 Luxury hampers (donated by Uig bay campsite)
- Pair of Revgear kids boxing gloves (donated by revgear)

- One month free membership to Skye Muay Thai
- Buddhist Amulets
- £10 voucher to Kyle Butchers
- Rug (donated by Edinburgh Wollen Mill)
- Porcelain Figurine (donated by Tippecanoe)
- Wonky Wollens gift bags (donated by OR)
- Buff (donated by Inside out)
- Pot plant (donated by flowers by carol)
Tickets cost £5 per strip and in total the Raffle raise £293

The wicker camp from Sheffield had there own club sparring event where they raised £200 for Skye Muay Thai
Overall the Skye Muay Thai club raised around £1500 for there club which will go towards buying the boxing ring , Skye Muay Thai is a Local Community club with all profits going toward the gym the instructors teach on a voluntary basis with no one taking any money for them self.
